ROT-54
In the remote highlands of Armenia, surrounded by mountains and open skies, stands the Orgov Radio-Optical Telescope, also known as ROT-54 or the Herouni Mirror Radio Telescope.
Once a marvel of Soviet engineering and scientific ambition, it now rests in silence, a monumental relic of an era that sought to reach the stars from one of the world’s most isolated landscapes.
Through abstraction and detail, the collection explores the tension between technology and decay, between the rational and the poetic. The telescope, once built to listen to distant signals, becomes an object of contemplation, a vessel of silence, reflecting our enduring desire to reach beyond what is visible.
The pieces are meant to be displayed vertically (see signature), but the collector can decide to hang them in any direction they feel more connecting with.
